DICE | (Designing a) Digitally Inclusive Cultural Ecosystem. The fourth Prato Academy brought an international community of researchers together over four days to explore inclusive collegiality and research in a networked age. The programme was convened in collaboration between Monash University, the Institute for Digital Culture at the University of Leicester and Centro Pecci, and hosted by the Monash University European Research Foundation and Centro Pecci.
Co-convened by Ross Parry, Vince Dziekan and Lauren Vargas, an unfolding sequence of integrated workshops approached research culture as a live-prototyping exercise: what does it look, sound and feel like when students, supervisors and researchers come together on terms of equity, respect and care? The programme connected transdisciplinary practice-based research with inclusive design, digital culture, creativity and cultural ecosystems.
The announcement also offered an optional Venice programme with the Venice Digital and Public Humanities Lab at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, through the EUTOPIA Connected Community for Digital Initiatives: full Summer School participation on 6–10 July 2026, or a Venice Biennale field research option on 8–10 July 2026.
